  • Overview

    Mirabella Portland, a part of Pacific Retirement Services, is a beautiful not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in the South Waterfront. The sales counselor is responsible for building relationships with qualified prospective residents to help guide them through the sales process and find creative ways to overcome objections through mutual discovery and agreement. The position’s primary objective is to lead these prospective residents to secure residency in the community, thereby helping the community achieve budgeted census goals.

    Responsibilities

    • Sells using a relationship based sales process: conducting discovery and listening to qualified prospective residents' needs, wants and concerns; personalizing their sales approach to each individual prospective resident according to their unique personality and buying style.
    • Contributes to community census by qualifying leads, managing a pipeline of prospects, conducting sales activities, recording notes in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, receiving deposits and moving in new residents.
    • Self-driven daily activity management: scheduling and completing activities and accurately recording their completion utilizing the community’s CRM software; Activities include calls in and out, emails in and out, sales tours, sales meetings and more; demonstrates tangible results of sales activities. 
    • Awareness of competition and other market factors that influence prospective residents’ decision making; displays practical application of competitive and market information in daily sales efforts.
    • Documents and communicates feedback from prospective residents, both positive and constructive, in a way that enables and enhances future decision making.
    • Collaboration with team members on the Sales and Marketing Team and the greater interdepartmental teams; participating in one-on-one sales meetings.

    Qualifications

    • B.A. or B.S. degree in Business, Communication, Marketing or related field preferred. 

    • Sales experience, with knowledge of senior living industry strongly preferred.
    • Public relations skills highly desired.
    • Must be able to perform all sales related duties as requested by Director of Sales and Marketing or Executive Director.
