    Trinity Terrace is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) that has been serving Fort Worth seniors for more than 100 years.     We are currently seeking an experienced PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to assist with nursing needs on our Skilled Nursing floor. This position ensures that bedside delivery of care is person-centered, individualized and clinically competent, as well as assisting the Director of Nursing as needed for RN coverage in the overall operations of the health and rehabilitative care center.  Responsible to uphold PRS's core values of excellence, innovation, integrity, stewardship, compassion, and collaborating in fulfilling all job duties.   

     

    Work Schedule:  PRN, Evening shift (2:30p-11:00p).   Must have flexibility to work any day of the week, including occasional weekends and holidays.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Knowledge of State and Federal regulations; facility policies and procedures

    • Knowledge and application of medication administration techniques.

    • Knowledge and ability to coach/lead front line team.

    • Knowledge and practice of universal precautions, maintains current with infection control protocols.
    • Maintain and promote resident rights, privacy, and dignity.
    • Maintains the Standard of Practice for Medication Administration as set forth by nursing governing bodies.

    • Effectively communicate with residents, families, Health Care representatives and staff

    • Ability to recognize a change in a residents condition, acts appropriately to these changes, facilitating needed care. 

    • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in patient records

    • Gather data to assist in maintaining a physical, social, and psychological environment, which will be conducive to the best interest and welfare of the residents. Interact with elderly emotionally upset and ill residents on a daily basis.

    • Set up and pass medications as needed, observing the 6 rights of medication administration. 

    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Texas, or compact license.
    • A minimum of one (1) year of RN experience in a SNF/Sub-Acute Rehab setting. Two (2) years RN experience in a LTC environment highly preferred.
    • Current CPR certification
    • Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a team.
