Our Nutritional Services Aide is responsible for ensuring the accurate, safe and timely service of regular and therapeutic diets to residents in Assisted Living, Memory Care and the Skilled Nursing Health Care Center.  Will also maintain food safety and a sanitary work environment.

Work Schedule:  11:00 am-8:00 pm, rotating days.  Must be able to work occasional weekend and holiday shifts as needed.

• Prepare and assemble cold food items breakfast, lunch and dinner tray line. Ensure tray accuracy. 
• Record temperatures at end of meal period on daily cook’s menu; record temeratures of all assigned refridgerators/freezers
• Work with Activities staff food calendar to help facilitate schedule. 
• Highlight and prepare tray tickets prior to breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. 
• Refer to cook’s spreadsheet daily to accurately portion salads and desserts for all diet orders at lunch and dinner meals. 
• Deliver and pick-up tray carts at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Unload carts, stack and pre-scrape plates and sanitize empty carts for next meal. 
• Record temperatures and sanitizer concentration of dish machine each meal. 
• Maintain resident diet data such as current sides, drinks, and the Cook’s tally sheets on a weekly basis according to SHHC census and resident preference changes. 
• Prepare and deliver snacks to SHHC per monthly activities calendar. 
• Set tables for lunch in Assisted Living dining room.
• Routinely clean out all assigned refrigerators and freezers of outdated items.
• Maintain a neat and sanitary work areas - both in main kitchen and in Nutrition Aide prep area. 
• Check for new diet orders, discharges, and any new admits for the Skilled Health Care Center and Memory Care.  Create tray cards as needed.

• Requires knowledge of food safety practices and food service principles. 
• Must possess valid Food Handler's permit
• Ability to interact with staff, other departments and residents.  Requires courtesy and basic tact to maintain positive relationships.
• Previous experience in a long-term care environment is helpful.  Experience in a Nutritional Service Aide and/or Server role is highly preferred.
