    Immediate job opening for an experienced full-time Cook. 100% paid employee health benefits!     Currently we are seeking a Full-Time Cook II. The succesful candidate must be fast paced, creative, passionate and have experience in upscale cuisine. Must work well with others and a strong desire to work with seniors.

    Pre-employment testing includes drug testing, fingerprint background check, reference checks, TB test and physical examination.

     

     


     

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Check menu and catering board for special events.
    • Prepare continental breakfast and special items for Health Center.
    • Prepare soups when working AM shift. Keep at temperature for lunch and cool for dinner.
    • Assist in breakfast service for trayline when necessary.
    • Reheat food items to 165 degrees before serving.
    • Prepare lunch- dining room, trayline modified diet need and, assist when needed with catering menus.
    • Assist with setting up hot foods.
    • Break down lunch serving line.
    • Put away orders as they come in using FIFO.
    • Clean and sanitize serving line. Empty hot wells. Sweep floor in that area.
    • Finish preparation for the next day shift.
    • Make sure frozen items for day after tomorrow are in walk-in to defrost.
    • Moderate to heavy physical conditions. Some walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, handling, carrying, pulling and pushing.
    • Occasionally working on irregular surfaces. Occasional lifting of objects weighing over 50 lbs. Pushing and pulling of carts. Some exposure to uncomfortable temperatures or odors.

     

    Qualifications

    • Applicants should have 

      3-5 years as a chef in a full service restaraunt.

    • Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Must have a positive attitude, an attention to detail and enjoy interfacing with staff/residents
