    University Retirement Community is a non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in Davis, California.     URC is looking for an individual to join our receptionist team! This position is part time primarily working the NOC shift, 9pm-5:00am. This position is primarily Monday-Friday but has the strong possibility of working weekends, and being able to cover other shifts is a major plus.


    Pre-employment testing includes drug testing, fingerprint background check, reference checks and medical examination.

    • Projects an outgoing, friendly personality while meeting and greeting visitors to the main Community building
    • Sorts resident mail
    • Notifies residents/staff when they have a visitor
    • Answers phones and directs calls or answers questions
    • Sorts, re-addresses, and distributes mail
    • Arranges for packages and mail to be sent out
    • Assists residents, guests, and employees alike




    • Must have a positive attitude
    • Be friendly, patient, and helpful
    • Strong desire to work with seniors
    • Previous experience in a customer facing environment
    • Work well independently and in a group
    • Ability to use tact and diplomacy in relating with seniors and co-workers
