    Immediate Opening for a Full time Laundry/Custodian. 35 hours/week.

    Responsibilities

    Responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of clean, sanitary linens for residents and the facility, cleaning and delivering resident’s personal laundry. This position will report to Laundry Lead. 

    • Retrieve and sort personal laundry from SNF residents
    • Retrieve and sort personal laundry from Assited Living and Independent Living residents.
    • Retrieve soiled linens from barrels in hallways and shower rooms.
    • Prepares bleach solutions for soaking any stained personal clothing.
    • Wash, dry, fold, sort and return all personal laundry to resident’s rooms.
    • Store clean linens when delivered on their respective shelves in the clean linen storage area and return blue delivery carts to the soiled linen storage.
    • Stock hallway linen storage areas with clean linen daily.
    • Retrieve and wash dirty bibs from dining room and nurses stations.  Restock area with clean bibs.
    • Stock hallway linen storage areas with clean linen daily for SNF, Assisted Living & Independent Living dining rooms.
    • Remove lint from dryer daily.
    • Wash mops and rags as required; deliver to proper location.
    • Wipe down washers, dryers and counters; sweep and damp mop floors.
    • Disinfect all laundry holding carts and shelves at least weekly.

     

      

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Requires some knowledge of the laundry tasks, and some custodial tasks
    • Ability to read and understand chemical and/or cleaning product label instructions
