    Pacific Retirement Services is seeking a talented leader for our Manager in Training and/or Administrator in Training program. The program is designed to provide a broad range of experiences/knowledge in the operations of Continuing Care Retirement Communities This incumbent will rotate through each department as well as participate in practical application of skills, educational offerings, and special projects. This is intended to help enhance managerial and problem-solving skills, plus gain the experience in each job function related to the management position positions within Pacific Retirement Services. At certain intervals in the program, the trainee’s experiences, competencies and interests will be assessed with the intent to focus continued training in specific areas/departments.

    ASSIGNMENTS

    The format of the Management/Administrator Training program is designed as a module based program that covers the domains of practice, as defined by the Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators and the National Association of Boards of Examiners of Long Term Care Administrators (NAB); the operation of retirement communities such as Continuing Care Retirement Communities; as well as other senior services programs. This extensive training program will provide experiences through various assignments and projects related to the industry; education in the federal, state, and local requirements; and the opportunity to practice in the field itself.

     

    During the Management/Administrator Training program, participants will spend an allocated amount of time in various departments, including, but not limited to: Administration, Accounting and Finance, Human Resources, Dining Services, Facility Services, Development, Construction, Information Technology, and Marketing and Communications. In preparation for the Nursing Home Administrators licensure, trainees will also focus their training in Nursing/Health Care, Recreation, Medical Records, Social Services, and Rehabilitation/Restorative Services. Graduates from the training program will be considered for placement within the company based on performance during the training and the needs of the company. Placement within the company is not guaranteed.

    Qualifications

     

    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field and meet state requirements.
    • Must be willing to relocate upon completion of MIT program.
    • Must have valid driver's license and be insurable under corporate insurance carrier.
    • Strong computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint) and prior work experience preferred. 
    • Viable candidates will display strong interpersonal skills, comfortable with public speaking, be highly motivated, and exhibit strong leadership skills.
