    One year of experience and a current ServSafe certification are required.

    Responsibilities

    • Hands on participation in the daily preparation of all foods prepared for entree service
    • Produce and monitor the prep & production of food
    • Assists with food production, a la’ carte and buffet
    • Cut and clean a variety of fruits, vegetables, and proteins using a knife and/or cutting machines
    • Produce food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and catered events
    • Assist with catered events
    • Maintain kitchen clean and orderly work area at all times even during high volume prep. Maintain product rotation in walk-in and freezer in kitchen. Maintain orderly dry storage in kitchen.
    • Maintain high level of sanitation in the kitchens and follow all health code regulations at all times.

    Qualifications

    • Must have a minimum of one year cooking experience, preferably in high production kitchen with quality standards in preparation and presentation
    • Must be able to prepare soups, gravies, and sauces from scratch. Is competent in roasting, broiling, grilling, braising and sauté techniques
    • Must be proficient in buffet stations
    • Should have experience in working ala carte dinner line
    • Utilization of knife cuts in a fast, efficient and safe manner
    • Sense of urgency, ensuring high volume production & large batch cooking
    • Maintaining the upmost safety and sanitation in the work place
    • Working Conditions: Line Cook is subjected to various temperatures for long hours. Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs, reach, bend, stoop, and work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).

    Applicants must be available days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

This is a full time hourly position.
