    We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Weekend Supervisor in our Health Services area to ensure that bedside delivery of care is person-centered, individualized and clinically competent, as well as assisting Director of Nursing as needed for RN coverage in the overall operations of the health and rehabilitation care center. This position is responsible to uphold PRS’s core values of excellence, innovation, integrity, stewardship, compassion, and collaboration in fulfilling all job duties.

     

    Work Schedule:  Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.  May include holiday shifts as needed.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Must maintain working knowledge of resident conditions at all times.
    • Make rounds with physicians as necessary, reporting and informing resident change of condition or medications to resident family or POA; review 24 hour reports and other pertinent nursing documentation from previous shifts.
    • Assist in maintaining a physical, social, and psychological environment, which will be conducive to the best interest and welfare of the patients.
    • Set up and pass medications as needed, observing the rights of medication administration.
    • Supervise the work of Certified Medication Aides and Certified Nursing Aides
    • Maintain accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care.
    • Provide nursing care in accordance with physician orders and appropriate nursing techniques/procedures.
    • Recognize and interpret symptoms/change of condition and report patient's condition accurately.
    • Notify RCM, DNS, PCP and/or Administration of changes in patient condition or other job related issues.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Requires current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
    • Current CPR/BLS certification
    • Requires a minimum of two (2) years RN experience, preferably in a SNF/Sub-Acute Rehab setting,  Charge Nurse/Supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
    • Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a team.
