  • Overview

    Pacific Retirement Services, a non-profit leader in the senior living/hospitality industry, is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our Media Services team. The Graphic Designer is responsible for working collaboratively with the PRS Media Services Team in the creative process to foster stronger creative solutions, to communicate, facilitate, and establish visual style, and create and produce marketing collateral and advertising materials needed for PRS and all PRS-affiliated and -managed communities.

    Responsibilities

    • Conceptualizes and creates brochures, newsletters, fliers, direct mail, ads/ad campaigns, logos, identity systems, web graphics, and other projects as assigned.
    • Collaborates with Media Services Team and clients in conceptualizing and creating print and visual media as assigned.
    • Proactively recommends creative communication solutions and develops creative solutions to difficult problems.
    • Collaborates with Media Services Team to execute projects in a timely manner while still achieving the expected level of excellence.
    • Establishes and maintains consistent brand image for PRS and all PRS-affiliated and -managed communities. This responsibility extends to clients served by PRS Management & Consulting, LLC.
    • Works autonomously on special projects by developing standards, performing market research, client briefing, and community site visits. 
    • Assists Art Director in ensuring excellence for printed materials. This responsibility extends to assisting with photo and video shoots.
    • Takes leadership role in presenting work to clients, explaining reasons for creative decisions, alternative approaches, and process and is heavily relied upon for creative support.
    • Responsible for print proofs and press checking. Responsible for quality control of final printed products, archiving and retrieving design, photo, and art files as needed.
    • Takes role in key design designs including but not limited to color and paper choices, brand guidelines, and approach.
    • Performs product research; stays up-to-date on graphic applications and other graphic industry technologies, providing valuable insights into different creative approaches.

    Qualifications

     

    • Requires an advanced knowledge of graphic design, usually a result of formal technical training, higher education, and/or 4 or more years of experience in this field.
    • Must have advanced proficiency of Adobe Creative Suite, namely InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat.
    • Must have intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, namely Word and PowerPoint, and familiar with Excel.
    • Experience with presenting work to clients and team members, web design, social media, project management software, and photography is also helpful.
    • Group presentation and collaboration is also a major plus.
