    Saratoga Retirement Community is a CCRC campus including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care and a 94 bed skilled unit. Campus has a diverse team of RNs, LVNs, Social Workers, and support staff to serve both our residents as well as the community at large.


    We currently have an opening for a Building Supervisor (Full time).

    Responsible to plan, direct, and supervise all repairs, and maintenance of Saratoga Retirement Community and the Skilled Nursing Facility building and equipment.

    • Inventories all maintenance, supplies, chemicals, tools, and equipment.
    • Responsible for the organization and maintenance of the Facility Service workshop.
    • Keeps records regarding the maintenance of equipment, including building, HVAC, lighting, utilities, generator, refrigeration, garage, and others as required.
    • Establishes, maintains and documents preventive maintenance programs for the Saratoga Retirement Community buildings and Skilled Nursing Facility.
    • Assists in Hiring, supervising, scheduling, training and evaluations and discipline of maintenance staff in conjunction with the Director and Human Resources.
    • Hires and supervises all contract services for improvements and repairs, related to the maintenance of the Saratoga Retirement Community buildings and Skilled Nursing Facility.
    • Approves time cards for all maintenance staff.
    • Provides quality control, by inspections, for all maintenance services the Saratoga Retirement Community buildings and Skilled Nursing Facility.
    • Assists in the development and administers operating budget for Maintenance dept.  Recommends to Director, capital purchases and improvements.
    • Knowledge of repairs, and maintenance of the fire prevention system including fire extinguishers, sprinklers systems, stand pipes, fire control panel.
    • Establishes and maintains the key control and lock system for the entire campus including all lock-smithing and key duplicating.  Maintain all records for same.
    • Complete or delegate all work requests assigned for the Saratoga Retirement Community buildings and Skilled Nursing Facility maintenance.  See that forms are properly filled out.
    • Supervises and directs improvements repairs, maintenance of the swimming pool, and its equipment to meet state standards.



    • 2 – 4 years college, formal training and/or 5 years experience in related fields.
    • Maintenance and supervising skills and experience in HVAC/mechanical, roof maintenance, electrical, plumbing, locksmithing, utility systems and general building repair. Skills in the operation, repair, and maintenance of shop equipment and tools.
    • Knowledge of the “green” chemicals used by Maintenance and the proper MSDS.
    • Knowledge of fire prevention, suppression, and alarm systems.
    • Ability to supervise, manage and train employees.
    • Must possess a valid California driver's license, and be insurable under the corporate insurance carrier.
    • Ability to develop and administer an operating budget for maintenance, housekeeping and custodial/floor care programs.
    • Knowledge of swimming pool care and maintenance.
