    Capitol Lakes, a continuing-care retirement community in the heart of downtown Madison, has an immediate opening for a full-time Dishwasher.  This position is responsible for operating the commercial dishwashing machines, stacking and putting clean dishes away, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area at all times.

     

    Work Schedule:  Day/Evening shifts.  Days vary. May include occasional weekend and holiday shifts as needed.

    Responsibilities

    • Operates institutional dishwashing machine with soap dispenser and rinse solution.
    • Ensures Machine operates properly.
    • Notifies supervisor of any abnormalities.
    • Washes pots and pans.
    • Pushes dirty dish carts into dishroom from dining room.
    • Washes dishes and utensils.
    • Washes silverware and cooking/serving utensils.
    • Must attend any scheduled meetings and/or training sessions.
    • Clean and sanitize all food service utensils and wares used in food preparation and service. Store all items to ensure adequate supply of clean dishes and utensils.
    • Must adhere to policy following HACCP guidelines related to cross contamination, i.e. Clean end of dish room, dirty end of dish room and proper techniques related to them.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to operate institutional dishwashing equipment.
    • Ability to understand oral and written instructions.
    • Ability to read and understand chemical and/or cleaning product label instructions.
