    The Meadows of Napa Valley is a CCRC with a Skilled Unit comprised of 64 beds, 20 of which are Medicare certified. We also have an Assisted Living floor and Memory Care Unit as well. Our Skilled Nursing team is both large and diverse: RCMs, MDS coordinators, RNs, LVNs, CNAs, a social worker, medical records tech, and a staffing coordinator.

     

    We currently have an opening for a Ward Clerk/Unit Assistant (Part-time)

    Schedule: Saturday & Sundays, occasional weekdays 

    Hours: 9am - 4:30pm

    Responsibilities

    The Ward Clerk/Unit Assistant works as part of our Health Center team and provides a variety of different administrative and support functions including but not limited to the following:

    • Computer literate, call hospital discharge planners and check verification of funds for new referrals. Training will be provided.
    • Presentable with great communication skills in person and over phone.
    • Be a liaison with families and staff.

    Qualifications

    • Knowledge of the health care field with a minimum of one (1) year experience in this or a related field.
    • Requires clerical skills, good phone technique, good word processing skills, and excellent communication skills.
    • Demonstrates a strong customer service orientation.
    • Working knowledge of common medical terminology preferred.
    • Able to communicate and work effectively with others and function independently with minimal supervision and support.
