    Responsibilities

     

    The format of the Management Training program is designed as a module based program which covers the domains of practice as defined by the Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators and the National Association of Boards of Examiners of Long Term Care Administrators (NAB), the operation of retirement communities, such as Continuing Care Retirement Communities, as well as other senior services programs.  This extensive training program will provide experiences through various assignments and projects related to the industry; education in the federal, state, and local requirements; and the opportunity to practice in the field itself.

     

    During the management Training program, participants will spend an allocated amount of time in various departments including but not limited to: Administration, Accounting and Finance, Human Resources, Dining Services, Facility Services, Development, Construction, Information Technology, Marketing and Media Services.  In preparation of the Nursing Home Administrators licensure, trainees will also focus their training in Nursing/Health Care, Recreation, Medical Records, Social Services and Rehabilitation/Restorative Services. Graduates from the training program will be considered for placement within the company, based on performance during the training and needs of the company. Placement within the company is not guaranteed.

    Qualifications

     

    The Trainee will need a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care, or related field.  Must be highly motivated with strong work ethic and the desire to build a long-term career within Pacific Retirement Services. Must have strong organizational, leadership, and a desire to learn and succeed. Trainees must possess advanced computer skills and be competent in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Presentation, public speaking, and interpersonal communication skills required.

     

    Management trainees will be required to accomplish competencies established by the State of California to be licensed. Management trainees must pass both a federal and state examination to be licensed. Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable under corporate insurance carrier.

     

    Employees in this management trainee program are considered in trial service for a six-month period to assure that trainees are meeting learning objectives and meeting competency requirements.
