We currently have an opening for a Resident Services Assistant (Part-time).

Schedule: Monday – Friday w/ occasional weekend day

Hours: 9am to 1pm (flexible)

Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE:

To support the Director of Resident Services by ensuring the well-being of residential living residents through the delivery of high quality services in a manner consistent with the philosophy of The Meadows of Napa Valley.  Informs new residents and updates current residents, on services/programs available at the Meadows. Responsible to uphold MNV/PRS’s shared core values of: excellence, innovation, integrity, stewardship, compassion, and collaboration in fulfilling all job duties.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to resident, family and coworker inquiries in a friendly and timely manner (i.e. phone messages, emails and walk-ins).
  • Arrange appointments with residents and families and assist at care conferences, meetings or orientations as needed.
  • Maintain social media, resident intranet, and digital signage as needed and ensure internal communications are up-to-date (i.e. posting, directory and intranet updates)
  • Assist the resident services team with programming and events in the Independent Living area. Occasionally attend scheduled evening and weekend resident events as needed. 
  • Maintain resident files. Collect and file resident paperwork and make necessary copies for front desk emergency files.
  • Prepare and set-up for presentations, resident orientations, meetings or trainings as needed.  
  • Attend weekly apartment status meetings to keep up-to-date on new resident’s move-ins and timelines.
  • Prepare new resident information packets.
  • Assist with composing CCRC protocol letters for resident transfers to a higher level of care.
  •  Respond to resident emergency pendant alerts as needed.
  • Assist with the monthly MNV resident newsletter.

Qualifications

  • Requires some knowledge of working in a senior community; may be through higher education, technical training or minimum or prior one year experience in long term facility or related field preferred.
  • Job role requires regular interaction with prospective residents and their families as well as daily interaction with current residents. 
  • Incumbent must have tact and diplomacy with good communication skills.
  • Must have computer knowledge
  • Must have excellent public speaking and phone skills.
