Responsibilities

The DSD is the point person providing orientation and leadership training essential for success within the facility for licensed nurses, certified nursing aides, and ancillary staff members. This role also leads the Infection Control Program within the facility.

Qualifications

  • Current California RN Nursing license. 
  • Minimum one year experience in long term care which includes direct care of the aged or chronically ill.
  • Ability to apply basic principle of nursing care based on standards of nursing practice. 
  • Ability to assess and implement interventions for resident care based on standards of nursing practice and principles of nursing care. 
  • Must have astute clinical skills and be able to perform comprehensive assessments.
  • Demonstrate supervisory management, leadership skills and employee relations.
  • Familiarity with Title 22 regulations and Federal regulations/requirements for Skilled Nursing.
