Overview

Full Time Building Engineer 

 

Mirabella Portland, a part of Pacific Retirement Services, is a beautiful not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in the South Waterfront.  We are currently hiring a full time Building Engineer. You will perform maintenance and highly specialized repairs or improvements to the community building(s) and equipment.

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Perform major and minor inspections and maintenance, repairs general electrical, general plumbing, lighting, hardware, locks and safety systems.
  • Perform inspection, maintenance and repairs of and to the campus lock, entry systems, doors and related hardware. Also maintains key inventory and control systems.
  • Provide emergency repairs to facilities and equipment as needed.
  • Repair and maintain all major Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) assets.
  • Repair and maintain all maintenance supplies, tools and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

 

  • Formal training or certification in HVAC maintenance and repair, electrical systems and/or general building repair.
  • EPA (Universal) Certification
  • Limited Maintenance Electrical License (LME)
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and repair of Building automation systems (BAS)
  • Boiler, chiller and tower experience
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience in engineering, maintenance, MEP, HVAC or a related field.
  • Skills in operation, repair and maintenance of shop equipment and tools. Knowledge of chemicals used in Maintenance departments.
  • Knowledge of telephone, TV and computer systems.
  • Ability to read and understand labels. Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written communication.
