Mirabella at ASU, a modern, upscale retirement community in downtown Tempe, is seeking a Full-time Cook to produce breakfast, lunch and/or dinner menu items, including items pertaining to therapeutic diets, room service delivery, catering needs, and staff meals. Its an exciting opportunity to join our phenomenal team of culinary professionals at Mirabella at ASU! As part of our efforts to promote growth opportunities for our staff, we offer free culinary training thru Rouxbe to further enhance culinary skills & techniques. This program is recognized by the American Culinary Federation and WorldChefs.
Hours are scheduled during mealtimes and can vary from approximately 6:00 a.m. thru 8:00 p.m., depending on the needs of the facility. Days may vary. Must have availability to work occasional holiday and weekend shifts as needed.
The Cook will prepare and organize all culinary items needed for meal service within all assigned kitchens, ensuring meals are served in a proficient and timely manner. High standards and quality are a must at our community - our Cooks will ensure adherence to all food quality standards and food safety/sanitation standards. The successful candidate will possess good communication and customer service skills as well as have strong initiative.
