The Meadows of Napa Valley is a high end non-profit Retirement Community located in Napa, California. We have an exciting job opening for a Human Resource Partner to join our growing team.


This newly developed position is based out of the Meadows of Napa Valley where you'll report directly to the HR Director and assume a role similar to an HR Generalist. While both the Director and HR Partner will be based out of the Meadows of Napa Valley, you will be part of a larger HR team and remotely support our sister community in Saratoga, California. As an HR Partner, your role will be centered around around compliance. Your counterpart whom is based out of Saratoga will focus on employee onboarding, compensation, and benefits and will also report directly to a local HR Director. In total, the four of you will work as a team to support both communities under the supervision of a Regional HR Director with additional support from the HR team at the central office.


What you’ll be doing:


  • Leave administration (FMLA, CFRA, PDL, Personal) for both communities.
  • Workers compensation management for both communities.
  • Covid supplemental sick pay management for both communities.
  • Track employee Covid-19 vaccines for both communities.
  • Track required certifications for both communities.
  • Process Status Changes for both communities.
  • Home community records management and employment verifications.
  • Home community new hire paperwork.

About you: The ideal candidate will have a desire to be helpful, possess a proactive approach to issues, display strong emotional intelligence, be a self-starter, provide great customer service to staff and managers, and a bit of a tech wiz. If this is you, please apply!

  • Three (3) years’ HR experience is a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, and/or SHRM-SCP certifications are preferred. It is expected that upon hire you will work toward professional certification(s) within a year.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, senior living, or related field is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of employment law.
  • Advanced computer skills; especially MS Office and HRIS databases. 
  • Oral and written communication skills demonstrating professionalism and influence.
