Overview

 

Holladay Park Plaza, a part of Pacific Retirement Services, is a beautiful not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located right in the heart of the Lloyd District. We are currently hiring a Building Engineer/Maintenance Technician. 

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

 

BUILDING ENGINEER/MAINTENANCE TECH REQUIREMENTS:

 

The Building Engineer/Maintenance Technician for Holladay Park Plaza will have skills in managing the mechanical equipment for our 50 year old 17 story high rise and additional newer buildings. The facility is also a level 2 healthcare facility. Our Building Engineer will have experience in complying with and maintaining federal rules and regulations for CMS, state and city Fire Marshall, and NFPA.

 

This dynamic position largely focuses on project management as well as ongoing maintenance and improvement of building equipment.  In addition, this position should have knowledge and experience on most of the following systems:

  • HVAC web based building management software program.
  • 2 pipe and 4 pipe hydronic and pneumatic heating and cooling system.
  • Chiller and hot water boiler systems / pumps / motors / valves.
  • Coordinate contractor repairs as well as upgrades.
  • Emergency generators. Coordinate annual inspections and testing as per NFPA regulations with contractors and regulatory agencies.
  • Common area air handlers and individual fan coil units in apartments.
  • Swimming Pool and Spa circulation and filtration systems, water chemistry maintenance.
  • Fire control panel / fire monitoring and fire suppression systems. Coordinate contractors testing and repairs as per NFPA regulations.
  • Monitor, manage, and direct plumbing, electrical, and other contractors.
  • Organization and planning skills needed to manage and schedule ongoing repairs and inspections.
  • Participate in capital planning.
  • Good verbal and written skills with ability to communicate well as well as good email skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under our insurance carrier.
