Rogue Valley Manor is currently seeking a Full-Time Medical Records Coordinator to ensure completeness, maintenance, and security of medical records in compliance with policy and State and Federal guidelines and regulations.  As the Medical Records Coordinator, you will also manage the quality of documentation by nursing staff by monitoring deficiencies, implementing corrective action, and educating clinical staff.   Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm   What You Will Do: - Implement and maintain systems for safe, secure, and accurate storage and retrieval of health information and data in compliance with state and federal guidelines as well as policies and procedures. - Manage computerized and hardcopy medical records through accurate and timely filing, efficient retrieval, proper retention and destruction of records, maintenance and update of resident files and census information. - Monitor and control the release of health records for your department by upholding facility policies, PRS standards of practice, and legal regulations. - Develop a thorough understanding of electronic medical record computer systems and become a systems super-user for community. - Perform regular reviews and audits of resident charts, daily and monthly census sheets, medication and treatment charting, C.N.A. charting, admission and discharge records, physicians’ orders, and care plan records. - Compile and analyze facility statistical reports for auditing purposes, administration, and regulatory agencies. - Design programs to improve the quality of documentation by clinical staff, make process improvement recommendations to the quality improvement committee, and facilitate education on medical records and documentation for department staff. - Perform other duties as assigned or required.   About You: - Significant knowledge of medical record laws and regulations.
