Business Office Manager    Mirabella Seattle, a part of Pacific Retirement Services, is a beautiful not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in the heart of downtown Seattle.  What you’ll be doing: You will oversee the daily activities of the Business Office related to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Receipts (CM) and Payroll (PR) as well as provide assistance to the Executive Director and Department Directors in coordination with the central office accounting team. How you’ll do it:  Accounts Payable: - Distribute invoices to centralized area and assist Department Directors in accurate coding, - Enter invoice information and scan invoice into AOD system.  Totals batches, have Executive Director approve and mail to central office in accordance with check run schedule. - Review all vendor statements. Intercept all vendor calls and inquiries.  - Review all invoices for possible resident charges. Send to central office accounts receivable team to review for accuracy prior to entering into AOD. Accounts Receivable: - Handle sensitive billing issues with resident population or authorized representative of resident, insurance providers and medical care providers. - Enter all charges to residents as it relates to the Resident Billing module. Complete resident statement processing, handle sensitive billing issues, and make collection attempts.                                                                        - Distribute and balance petty cash on a daily basis for reimbursement of expenses, cash handling from dining and concierge including monitoring and verifying accuracy of till amounts/counts, replenish petty cash supply when necessary. - Balance daily cashier log at end of month and daily deposits submitted to PRS for reconciliation to General Ledger. Our Nurse Consultants work directly with our Chief Healthcare Officer to coordinate and carry out activities to assist the Health Services departments at each of our campuses. Those departments include Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Home Care. Our ideal candidate is a tenured RN with an extensive background in SNF and AL. This position is a remote opportunity. Provide counseling, assistance and discipline to improve job performance when needed. - Participate in recruitment and retention activities including interviewing applicants and providing department onboarding. - Ensure personnel and resident care practices are consistent with department and community policies and procedures. - Ensure that the department does not accept or retain residents whose needs are beyond the staffing ability, scope, or licensure of the department. - Manage timely reporting of allegation of abuse, neglect, grievances, accidents, incidents, and medication or treatment errors. Maintain records of event, investigation, results and actions. - Maintain resident charts in accordance with accepted medical records standards. - Work to increase coordination, communication, and teamwork within and among all departments. - Participate in interdepartmental meetings and coordinate team meetings as necessary. - Perform other duties as assigned or required. About you: - One-year plus experience in long-term care, home care, caregiving, medication administration or a related field. - Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license from accredited program, college, or university if required by the state in which you work. - Current and valid CPR/AED and First Aid certification. - Prior supervisory experience in a similar setting including performance management, discipline, program development and management of staff.  - Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound judgements concerning all aspects patient care. - Excellent understanding, skills and ability to communicate patient care and sensitive issues. - Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and medical records and clinical software programs.
