  About the Company: Mirabella combines urban sophistication with a rousing university environment for an incredible retirement lifestyle. Our prime downtown location puts residents and staff in the middle of it all while our full, on-site continuum of care provides peace of mind for the future. The big draw - Residents get to live right on the ASU campus keeping their pulse on University life and while sharing their knowledge and experiences with the students that call ASU home. In total, Mirabella will be home to more than 370 residents who have access to the 20 bed Assisted Living suites should the need arise. As part of the continuum of care, Mirabella also provides a 21 bed Skilled Unit and a 20 bed memory care unit located on the second floor – both will serve the existing residents and the community at large. The 20 story property will be a true diamond in the city skyline complete with a state of the art fitness center, 3 penthouse dining venues, and a high end bistro on the main floor. Our menu items are made from a scratch kitchen with the highest standards of hospitality in mind. Our property is currently under construction with a scheduled opening date in the fall of 2020.   Mirabella at ASU is an affiliate of Pacific Retirement Services, which specializes in the operation of non-profit CCRCs and provides support services for all aspects of our communities, including Resident Services.     About the Position: Mirabella ASU is seeking a dynamic and energetic Resident Services Director who will, under the direction of the Executive Director, promote a healthy, enriching environment through the management of Resident Services.  A significant responsibility for this position is management of the aging continuum within the framework of Mirabella at ASU‘s mission and core values as well as provide orientation of new residents and update current residents on all services/programs available. In addition, the Resident Services Director evaluates and responds to specific concerns/needs of new/permanent residents, and follows up on those concerns and needs. Overall, this is a great opportunity for a dynamic leader and seasoned communicator to make a big impact in the lives of our residents. This is an exempt full time position that reports directly to the Executive Director.    What You Will Do:   - Collaborate with Executive Director and other members of Executive team to ensure success in meeting and exceeding community goals in operations, human resources, sales and resident care. - Develops, plans and schedules new resident orientation program on a monthly basis. - Responsible for oversight of the Resident Services staff, which includes hiring, training and development, counseling, performance evaluation, functional development and disciplinary action.  The Resident Services Director will also manage, educate, and develop Front Desk, Wellness, Social Services, and Activities/Events. - Schedules, coordinates, and oversees new resident move-ins with resident and other affected departments.  - Advises new residents of insurance options for Medicare supplement policies and long term care policies.  - Works with resident/family/personal representative on permanent transfers to Residential Living or the Health Center.  - Acts as an advisor to family on disposition of effects and vacating of Independent Living or Residential Living unit.  - Works with resident/family members/personal representative in making application for Assistance Fund.  - Serve as Chair of Resident Evaluation Committee.  Schedules and coordinates Town Hall meetings for residents as needed. - Manage Private Duty Aide program. - Participate in resident and family education and counseling. - Coordinate move-in activity for new residents and facilities a smooth transition into the community. - Facilitate resident satisfaction surveys. - Develop budgets for assigned area on an annual basis and manages departmental expenses and revenue accordingly. Monitor department budget throughout the year to ensure any variances are identified, rectified and justified as necessary. - Manage emergency situations based on the company’s Emergency Action Guide. - Perform other job duties as required or assigned. What you’ll need: - High work ethic - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Strategic thinking capabilities - Results oriented approach - Strong organizational skills - Exceptional interpersonal skills - Tact and diplomacy - Advanced analytical and problem solving skills About You: - A four year college degree in Social Work, Nursing, Sociology, Psychology, and/or Gerontology or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. - Minimum of 7-10 years prior experience in a similar role with management experience in an area that has a strong emphasis on gerontology (i.e., social worker, nurse, and psychologist). - Knowledge, understanding and demonstrated ability to deal with gerentological issues. - Knowledge of Federal and State laws regarding elder care and assisted living and subsequent compliance requirements. - Demonstrated project management skills. - Excellent communication and listening skills, enthusiastic, resourceful, organized and possesses strong personal awareness of nonverbal communication. - Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office. Nice to Have: - Prior experience as a Resident Services Director in a senior living environment is highly preferred. As a Human Resources partner at Mirabella, you are part of a bigger Human Resources team that includes 12 different communities in 6 different states.    About the Position: Mirabella at ASU is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) with outstanding people skills to join our leadership team and ensure our programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned for our new nonprofit retirement community. The Director of Nursing is responsible for oversight and management of all health programs and services in the Skilled Nursing Facility.  This leader will also work with the Health Services Administrator in establishing policies and procedures in regard to health services.     What You Will Do: - Mirabella at ASU is a premier continuing care community dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors. Employees are responsible to uphold MBA and PRS’s core values of excellence, innovation, integrity, stewardship, compassion, and collaboration in fulfilling job duties. - Responsible for the development of Skilled Nursing Facility and resident care policies. - Responsible for nursing services in the Skilled Nursing Facility. - Assists with the development and implementation of departmental manual (philosophy, objectives, procedures and job descriptions. - Responsible for staffing the Skilled Nursing Facility. - Determine staffing needs in conjunction with the Human Resources Director as needed. - Work with Resident Care Managers (RCM) in the areas of resident care planning and nursing actions. - Assure that health programs and services comply with federal and state regulations and guide corrective action when applicable. - Participates in staff evaluations and disciplinary reviews. - Assure quality resident care is maintained. - Work with Medical Director and/or appropriate physician in overall resident care. - Monitor drug distribution with the assistance of the consulting pharmacist. - Implement safe method of drug distribution in collaboration with consultant pharmacist. - Participate in Peer and other inter-disciplinary reviews. - Participate in the following committees: Infection Control, Pharmacy, Quality Assurance, Transfer, Safety and others as needed. - Assures Medical Record Audit program is in place and being adhered to assure accuracy and completeness. - Work with RCM and Social Services Director in assessment of health, psycho social, rehabilitation and environmental needs of residents. - Participate in conferences with staff, residents and responsible parties as dictated by State and Federal regulations as well as staff or resident concerns. - Identify and implement nursing service educational needs.
