This is a healthcare position that calls for excellent communication and the need to be detail oriented for the health and safety of our residents. This position will be in charge of ensuring the accurate, safe and timely service of regular and therapeutic diets to residents in Assisted Living, Memory Care and the Skilled Health Care Center.     A day in the life of a Dietary Aide at URC: - A dietary aide spends time in many different parts of the facility and gets to interact with multiple different departments including kitchen staff, nursing staff, and housekeeping too. We are all one big team with the goal of providing excellent care for our residents!  - In the kitchen a dietary aide is doing tasks to get ready for the next meal: this includes prepping the dining room for the next service, as well as preparing specialty foods and snacks for residents with individualized needs. This provides the opportunity to learn all about food safety, sanitation rules and regulations and how to implement them. - Dietary aides take resident diet orders, serve them meals, make sure their special meals are safe, attractive and enjoyable. We follow up service by checking in with residents on their preferences, and provide feedback to the registered dietitian who is responsible for clinical charting on all of the residents. We specialize in great customer service and love to put smiles on faces! About you: - One (1) year of server experience within a healthcare and hospitality focused environment; to include senior living environments is preferred. - Any current state-sanctioned regulatory Food and alcoholic beverage licenses that are required in order to work within the food, beverage, and/or health services environment. - ServSafe certification is a plus.
