Pacific Retirement Services, a non-profit leader in the senior living/hospitality industry, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Accounting team. This position will be responsible for maintaining and processing the daily activities and transactions of the Accounting Department related to payroll, with occasional Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable of Pacific Retirement Services and its affiliates and managed companies.

Pacific Retirement Services, Inc./PRS Management, Inc. (PRS), is currently looking for a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our large Accounting Department at our Central Office in Medford. At our core, Pacific Retirement Services develops, builds, and operates communities filled with friendly neighbors, interesting activities, inspiring conversations, delicious food, and plenty of laughter. We also share our experience and knowledge with other retirement communities who seek our management services, helping them achieve excellence and financial stability. All of this is backed by our Health Center teams whose’ services range from skilled nursing, assisted living, and home care. Our central office is based in Medford, Oregon where we have over 100 employees providing shared services (accounting, sales, marketing, IT, human resources, etc) to our communities. Currently we own/operate 11 CCRCs in 5 states.

PRS is looking for a current student or recent graduate seeking an internship in sales or marketing. If you’re energetic and self-motivated, capable of working on a wide-variety of sales and marketing projects, then we want to hear from you. Your work will include assisting in the development of sales training, marketing plans, marketing budgets, and more. You’ll also assist in the completion of administrative work related to sales and marketing management, including CRM analysis, reports, and data and procedure auditing. You’ll be exposed to promotional campaign development, brand management, monitoring social platforms, pricing, market analysis, and much more.
The ideal candidate will possess an attention to detail and accuracy. In addition to being a proactive communicator, this individual will be under limited supervision and will perform duties for the Sales and Marketing Department involving independent judgment, initiative and tact.

The primary purpose of this position is to perform as the Corporate Controller for Pacific Retirement Services, Inc., Retirement Services, Inc. and related affiliate and managed organizations. This individual will oversee all of our primary accounting operations and functions via 2 direct reports: our assistant corporate controller and our accounting operations manager. This individual will report directly to the CFO.

Our central office provides shared services in the form of Accounting, IT, HR, Media, and core management services to all of our entities. We own/operate 12 CCRCs in 6 states. Under the Community Housing banner, we have 25 Affordable housing (HUD) properties across Oregon, California, and Texas. In total, we employ 3,000 plus individuals across PRSMI and these non-profit entities (affiliated and managed).

The primary focus of this position is to perform as a Senior Accountant for Pacific Retirement Services, Inc. This person will be responsible for communicating to business office managers at external companies about day-to-day accounting issues, consistency, preparation of audit work papers for external auditors, review of the annual audit, and the month-end close process for several retirement facilities. This individual will also be responsible for developing operating efficiencies, working with external auditors, developing and monitoring key performance indicators, and integrating new business processes and systems into the financial statement close process. This person may also be responsible for training and mentoring Staff Accountants.
Emphasis is placed on the promotion of operational efficiency and the responsibility to ensure that accounting transactions are made in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with adherence to internal controls, state requirements and other administrative policies. This individual will be responsible for the timely communication of issues to their supervisor.
