Full Time Housing Manager – Kingsley Court Retirement Community Schedule: Monday-Friday Pacific Retirement Services, a leader in the housing industry (primarily senior living) is seeking a full time Housing Manager to join our talented and hardworking Community Housing team at Kingsley Court Retirement Community. The housing manager will serve as the frontline office staff for the community, ensure regulatory requirements are met, and assist in creating a positive environment for residents, guests and staff. The Housing Manager needs to take initiative and exhibit good judgment in addressing applicants/residents, co-workers and the general public. Must be able to work independently and have the initiative to undertake tasks needing to be done without being directed to do so. Must be organized, detail oriented, and have the ability to prioritize numerous tasks. Must be able to work under occasional stressful conditions. The role requires regular interaction with staff, government agencies and other members of the community. Requires appropriate use of tact and diplomacy, and cooperation with co-workers, residents, guests, contractors, and the general public. What you’ll be doing: The Executive Director (ED) is accountable for the overall leadership and management of Cascade Manor.  This individual will provide operational guidance and strategic direction to 5 department directors to ensure that high quality services are being provided. Above all, this position provides the leadership necessary to fulfill the vision, mission and core values of Pacific Retirement Services (PRS) and Cascade Manor. At PRS our values guide us in our decision-making, informs our daily behaviors, and collectively create the culture of our organization. The ED is positioned not only as the symbol of that culture but has the ability to drive it. This position reports directly to the Executive VP of Operations.   About Cascade Manor Cascade Manor in non-profit CCRC serving seniors in Eugene since 1967. In the early 1990s, Cascade Manor’s Board of Directors recognized the need for new ideas to be explored, and in 1994, the board approached PRS, to see how they might work together. A dialogue was pursued, and in 1996, Cascade Manor became a PRS affiliate. In 2005, Cascade Manor expanded by adding 50 garden apartments and a state-of-the-art fitness center with an indoor pool, a spa, and exercise equipment specially designed for seniors. In addition, the entire campus was renovated, remodeled, and beautifully redecorated. In 2009, Cascade Manor won Long-Term Living magazine’s 2009 Remodel/Renovation Contest. Cascade Manor was named Best in Category in the Common Spaces Division for its remodel of the Solarium. In December of 2015, Cascade Manor expanded once more, opening 29th Place, and adding 30 beautiful new residences, courtyard spaces, and a lively new dining venue, the Rogue Bistro, to our campus. Today, Cascade Manor has grown to 175 Independent living units, a 32 bed skilled unit, with additional RCF and home care team. Emphasis on safety procedures and requirements such as operation of kitchen equipment, use of cleaning and sanitation chemicals, water temps, rotation of food items. Involves heavy lifting, carrying and the ability to to load and unload dish machine and other kitchen equipment. How you’ll do it:  - Demonstrate PRS Core Values throughout your daily routine—excellence, innovation, integrity, stewardship, compassion, and collaboration in fulfilling job duties. - Work one-on-one with existing staff to ensure all back-of-house standards are followed. - May be asked to train newly hired and transitioned utility staff in accordance with a consistent and effective training process/program. - Keep the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, and/or Utility Lead informed of any potential problems as they surface so they can be addressed in a timely manner. - Lead by example with regard to food safety and sanitation, maintaining an environment and work area that demonstrates safety and sanitation are paramount. - Follow the specific standardized dishwashing and/or cleaning processes and procedures as directed by the back-of-house leadership team. - Attend all team meetings and/or events requiring your presence. - Be knowledgeable of emergency procedures and act in a calm manner in an emergency. - Perform other duties as assigned. About you: - One (1) year of dishwashing and/or commercial kitchen cleaning experience within a hospitality- and culinary-focused environment; to include multi-venue hotels, resorts, restaurants, and/or high-end senior living environments is preferred. - Any current state-sanctioned regulatory Food and Alcoholic Beverage Licenses that are required in order to work within the food, beverage, and/or health services environment. - ServSafe certification is a plus.
