Program Specialist - Foster Grandparent Program Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm Community Volunteer Network provides meaningful volunteer opportunities and services for older adults in Southern Oregon. The Foster Grandparent Program is administered by AmeriCorps Seniors. The program is comprised of volunteers who are 55+ and have limited income. These volunteers nurture, mentor and tutor children in schools and nonprofit settings. What you’ll be doing: You will provide assistance, organization, planning and support as needed to the Foster Grandparent Program (FGP). How you’ll do it:  - Maintain a workable system for recruiting, registering, orienting, processing, and placing FGP volunteers. - Maintain and update FGP volunteer files and volunteer station files and ensure all Memorandums of Understanding are current. - Complete all FGP Accounts Payable tasks on a monthly basis. - Assist with the compilation of information for, and work with the Executive Director in the preparation of FGP grant proposals and required funding reports. - Coordinate FGP volunteer recognition events, functions, and other special projects as requested by the CVN Executive Director. - Assist the CVN Executive Director and Sponsor Liaison in fundraising activities as needed. - Assist the CVN Executive Director in conducting new volunteer trainings, as well as, monthly in-service trainings for the Foster Grandparent volunteers. - Assist in the coordination of Foster Grandparent volunteer assignments and activities, including special events, in cooperation with appropriate volunteer station staff. - Outreach, build and maintain relationships with volunteer supervisors at station sites. - Develop newsletters with the Executive Director to be circulated to the FGP volunteers and Board members. - Assist the CVN Executive Director in developing and maintaining public relations and publicity which promotes community support and recognition of FGP, including the use of social media. - Attend training programs and other meetings or conferences on aging, volunteerism and other related fields when appropriate. - Oversee supplies inventory for FGP and maintain such as needed. - Complete bulk mailings as needed. - Perform other duties as assigned or required.

In the absence of the Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine, you will assume responsibility of the kitchen, including leadership of the kitchen staff, food safety/sanitation, food preparation and presentation. At the direction of the Sous Chef and/or Chef de Cuisine, you may be asked to delegate specific duties to other staff members to ensure that all items needed for meals or events are prepared on time. You will adhere to and help ensure adherence to all established Dining Services policies and procedures.
